Job Responsibilities Supplier Qualification & Audit Lead new supplier assessment, audit, and qualification for mobile battery suppliers, evaluate quality system, technical supplier assessment, reliability test, and safety compliance. Conduct periodic on-site audits (process, quality system, safety) and drive corrective actions to closure. Quality Assurance & Control Define and maintain incoming quality standards, inspection criteria, and reliability test plans for batteries. Monitor PYSR, LAR, VLRR, TCRR and ORT results, ensure compliance with spec, safety standards, and customer requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to stabilize production processes, implement SPC, FMEA, and control plans. Quality Issue Resolution Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for incoming defects, line rejects, and field failures using 8D, 5Why, DDDW, and statistical tools. Track and verify corrective actions to prevent recurrence; manage quality claims and supplier improvement plans. Supplier Performance Evaluation Management Establish and track supplier KPI system, incoming quality rate, on-line defect rate, CAPA closure rate. Conduct regular quality reviews, drive continuous improvement and cost reduction in supply chain quality. NPI & Engineering Support Work on new part risk analysis, monitor pilot run, and mass production readiness for battery components. Work with R&D, test, and sourcing teams to validate design, process, and quality risks. Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, automation, science or related technical field and years of relevant work experience. 3+ year experience in a battery manufacturing or development role that has delivered various products for mobile phone / tablet industry. Knowledge of quality methodology and tools, supplier process audit, process control plan, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, 8D and/or similar tools. Experiences with cell/pack manufacturing process and testing automation in the manufacturing factory, familiar with failure analysis process steps is a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills. Fluent in written and spoken English; able to communicate and coordinate with global team. Preferred qualifications Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects. Experience working closely with development and business teams to understand business requirements and communicate quality problem impacts proactively. Knowledge of battery PCM IC and MOSFET protective circuit architecture. Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness. Familiarity with mobile phone assembly processes.
