What you will be doing:

Create offline robot programs for download in a robotic production process.

Coordinate with Regional Paint Engineer to study, conduct trials, and evaluate based on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

Support Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for sealer, UBC, and dampening coat robot processes.

Support Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for primer, base, clear, and interior robot processes.

Lead all meetings with related groups, handle document creation, and support plants in the process.

Travel to US, Mexico, and Canada (pending COVID restrictions) to support projects.

What you'll need to be successful

• Essential:

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience, OR 4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.

• Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications.

• Experience with Digital Engineering.

• Additional related certifications.

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.

• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.

• Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects.

• Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to work with minimal direction; previous experience is required.

• Travel to US, Mexico, and Canada pending COVID restrictions.
