About the role

As an Assembly Engineer in the Industrial Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the assembly and painting processes. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in an assembly shop, your main focus will be on optimizing workflow, improving productivity, reducing cycle time through motion studies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities and Authorities: - Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard cycle times and improve productivity. - Analyse and optimize assembly workflows to eliminate waste and non-value-added activities. - Define and maintain standard work procedures (SOPs) for all assembly and painting operations. - Support new product development by establishing efficient assembly processes. - Develop and implement strategies to improve throughput and reduce bottlenecks. - Drive productivity improvement initiatives through Kaizen and Lean manufacturing tools. - Improve material flow, layout, and workstation ergonomics. Projects: - Evaluate and implement new equipment, processes, procedures to enhance assembly operations. - Plan and execute the projects efficiently. - Identify & propose lower cost automations, latest technology changes adaption. Knowledge Required: - Knowledge of assembly and painting processes with basic Industrial Engineering tools (time study, motion study, line balancing). - Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction. - Familiarity with process optimization, plant layout, material flow, and ergonomics. - Basic knowledge of quality tools, safety standards, and data analysis (MS Excel). Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and team coordination. - Ability to drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives. - Good planning, execution, and time management skills.
