System Software Engineer

Role Overview: You will be joining as a Senior Software Systems Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where you will play a crucial role in developing, integrating, and validating mission-critical software systems within the aerospace, defence, or other safety-critical industries. Your expertise in software requirements development, systems integration, verification and validation, and software lifecycle management will be highly valued. It is essential for you to have a strong background in the V-Model and Agile development methodologies, along with a thorough understanding of RTCA DO-178C standards for aerospace software certification. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, analyze, and document system and software requirements aligning with stakeholder needs, technical objectives, and regulatory standards. - Lead the integration of complex software systems within aerospace and safety-critical platforms, ensuring seamless functionality across subsystems. - Plan and execute verification and validation activities to ensure software satisfies system requirements and design specifications. - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle. - Ensure compliance with RTCA DO-178C guidelines and other applicable aerospace and safety standards. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and contribute to engineering decision-making. Qualification Required: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. - Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in software systems engineering within aerospace, defence, or other safety-critical industries, with demonstrated experience delivering complex software systems throughout the full development lifecycle. Experience supporting certification activities for safety-critical software is highly desirable. - Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles, expertise in software requirements management, knowledge of software verification and validation methodologies, experience with complex systems integration, and familiarity with the V-Model software development lifecycles. Thorough understanding of RTCA DO-178C software certification standards and experience with safety-critical or mission-critical software systems are required.
