As a Technical Artist at Light & Wonder, your role involves serving as a translator between art and engineering, ensuring the achievement of the player-facing vision for the game. Your responsibilities will include: - Implementing art assets in Unity such as Particle effects, Shader effects, and Animations. - Integrating art into unity and connecting with gameplay code. - Identifying and solving technical issues related to the art pipeline. - Providing artists with technical feedback to ensure the creation of optimized assets. - Maintaining game stability by optimizing memory and performance. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Art, Related Field, or Equivalent Experience. - 2 to 6 years of game development studio experience. - Working knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics (After Effects and 3DsMax, or equivalent). - Familiarity with Unity, Unreal, or equivalent game engine. - Understanding of versioning software and creating animations. - Exposure to scripting languages such as C#, JS, MEL, or Python. - Knowledge of unity shaders and procedural art. - Skills in performance and memory profiling and optimization. - Experience working under tight deadlines. - Self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects with minimal direction. - Experience playing video games, slot games.
