Software Engineer - Frontend

The Role We're looking for a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Chennai. You'll be responsible for building user-facing features and scalable frontend applications using Next.js . You'll work closely with backend engineers (Python/FastAPI) and collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, performant, and responsive web applications. Responsibilities Develop and maintain modern, scalable, and responsive web applications using Next.js Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility and responsiveness Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to define and deliver seamless user experiences Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain code quality and reliability Monitor frontend performance and optimize page load times and interactivity Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and UI/UX improvements Requirements 2+ years of experience in frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript Strong experience with React.js and Next.js Solid understanding of modern HTML, CSS (TailwindCSS or similar), and JavaScript/TypeScript Experience integrating with REST APIs (GraphQL experience is a plus) Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, React Query, or similar) Understanding of frontend performance optimization and SEO best practices Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployments Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Nice to Have Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.) Familiarity with Google Cloud services (for integrating backend/frontend) Exposure to accessibility (a11y) best practices Experience with containerization (Docker) for local development Familiarity with design systems and tools like Figma for smooth collaboration with designers Our Culture We foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous learning.
