About the role
Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in automation testing using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in web and API automation, CI/CD integration, and modern testing practices. Experience with AI-assisted automation, Playwright Agent, and Codegen tools will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test scripts using Playwright Perform automation on regression, smoke, API, integration, and end-to-end testing Create, review, and execute automated test cases for web applications Develop reusable automation utilities and improve framework stability Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios and test data Identify, log, track, and verify defects until closure Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members Participate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and release validation activities Maintain test execution reports and automation dashboards Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards Work with AI-assisted automation tools to improve testing efficiency Utilize Playwright Codegen and Playwright Agent for rapid automation development and debugging Perform cross-browser and responsive testing Required Skills 3–4 years of experience in Automation Testing Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Strong programming knowledge in TypeScript and JavaScript Experience in API testing using Postman and Playwright API methods Experience with automation framework design and maintenance Good understanding of test design techniques and QA methodologies Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions Knowledge of Git/version control systems Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology Strong debugging and analytical skills Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira Understanding of browser developer tools and network debugging Good to Have Experience with AI-based automation tools Knowledge of Playwright Agent and Codegen Experience with cloud testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently Tools & Technologies Playwright TypeScript / JavaScript Postman Jenkins GitHub Actions Git Jira BrowserStack / Sauce Labs VS Code
