About the role
As a Local Site Support User, your role involves providing on-prem IT support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals across various operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. Your key responsibilities include: - Troubleshooting basic issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones, etc. - Handling the provisioning and deprovisioning of corporate devices like laptops and phones. - Ensuring broken devices are replaced with temporary devices following Ericsson's processes. - Offering technical guidance to end users for their day-to-day IT problems within the office environment. - Coordinating with L2 teams, such as end-user computing team and EMM, for troubleshooting. In the Office IT Infrastructure Support area, you will be responsible for: - Performing basic troubleshooting, installations, and maintenance for office infrastructure services like printing, connectivity, platform, and voice. - Installing, testing, and removing network devices like switches, routers, and access points. - Troubleshooting network connectivity issues such as Wi-Fi and LAN. - Providing on-prem support for smart metering and other real estate solutions within office environments. - Handling tasks related to PABXs and AV equipment in coordination with L2 teams. - Deploying, testing, and handling logistics for workplace monitors. - Supporting remote Level 2 teams by configuring local office infrastructure equipment. - Assisting during scheduled maintenance or escalations and coordinating with vendors for repairs and replacements. In the area of Asset Management, your responsibilities include: - Receiving, unboxing, and registering devices in the hardware asset management system following Ericsson's procedures. - Tagging and labeling assets as per Ericsson's guidelines. - Testing devices upon arrival and storing them securely in Ericsson-provided facilities. - Updating records regularly to maintain accurate inventory information. - Performing periodic audits of hardware assets and providing timely reports on asset status. - Arranging for device disposal, warranty repairs, and temporary laptop loans. Additionally, you may support Project Based Site Support for office moves, equipment relocations, or hardware refresh projects, as well as assist in local business events as needed.
