About the role
As a Senior Data Analyst at io, you will be an integral part of a strategic data governance engagement for a large global organization. You will work closely with the client's data owners, regional teams, and technology stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance within a complex global product master data environment. Your role will involve owning data quality issues, making judgment calls on mappings and exceptions, and contributing to the design of global data governance processes. Key Responsibilities: - Own the identification and resolution of recurring data quality issues, including root cause analysis and permanent corrective rules. - Make judgment calls on ambiguous mappings and exceptions, providing clear rationale. - Ensure adherence to the client's mapping standards, governance frameworks, and data policies. - Act as a subject matter expert for the mapping process and product data hierarchy structures. - Partner with client stakeholders to resolve complex cross-system issues. - Provide decision support and guidance on data-related topics, including escalations. - Drive continuous improvement of validation processes, controls, and data quality frameworks. - Mentor junior analysts and review team outputs for quality and compliance. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 8 years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or master data management. - Hands-on experience with product master data and data governance frameworks. - Ability to lead complex validations and own data quality end-to-end. - Proficiency in advanced Excel, including complex formulas and large datasets. - Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify patterns and root causes. - Fluent in written and spoken English. - Immediate availability with no notice period. - Working knowledge of SQL and data querying. - Experience with data mapping and hierarchy structures. - Exposure to automation, AI-supported tooling, or modern data platforms. - Experience in global, cross-functional environments such as LATAM, EMEA, North America, and APAC.
