SEO Engineering at US Startup

As a hybrid role at the intersection of SEO and software engineering, you will be responsible for owning technical SEO end to end. You will write code yourself, build internal tooling to scale the SEO operation, and develop programmatic content systems to convert data into ranking pages. Your role will involve debugging crawl-budget issues, implementing Next.js changes, and creating Python pipelines for generating and QA-ing thousands of pages. If your instinct is to "just build it myself," you will thrive in this position. - Own technical SEO end to end, including crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, canonicalization, structured data / schema, XML sitemaps, robots directives, and Core Web Vitals. - Build and ship code directly in our web stack (Next.js / React / your framework) to address SEO issues such as rendering, performance, redirects, and migrations without relying on someone else's backlog. - Design and implement programmatic SEO systems for templated page generation at scale, data pipelines, and quality controls to ensure accuracy and usefulness of thousands of pages. - Develop internal SEO tooling and automation such as automated audits, log-file analysis, rank/visibility tracking, content QA, and dashboards for key insights.
