About the role
The Data Modeler Architect will serve as the enterprise authority on Teradata-based data modelling and architecture, driving the design, optimization, and governance of large-scale data platforms. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Teradata FSLDM, SQL performance tuning, and metadata management, ensuring robust, scalable, and business-aligned data solutions. Teradata-Centric Architecture Lead the design, implementation, and management of Teradata FSLDM frameworks.Optimize Teradata SQL queries, utilities, and workloads for performance and scalability.Drive data warehousing initiatives leveraging Teradata technologies, including medallion architecture and enterprise data platforms.Provide expert guidance on Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, BTEQ, etc.) and performance tuning strategies.Data Modelling & Metadata Management Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with enterprise standards.Ensure consistency and compliance with data modelling principles across projects.Create and maintain detailed documentation for data models, mappings, metadata, and governance standards.Contribute to metadata management and governance frameworks, ensuring data quality and lineage.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into Teradata-driven data solutions.Identify and resolve data quality, modelling, and metadata issues proactively.Mentor and guide junior architects and data engineers in Teradata best practices. Experience Experience: 1823 years in enterprise data modelling, metadata management, and architecture.Tools Expertise: Proficiency in Erwin, ER Studio, or equivalent modelling tools.Technical Skills:Advanced expertise in Teradata FSLDM and Teradata database technologies.Strong SQL development and optimization skills.Deep knowledge of Teradata utilities and performance tuning.Exposure to enterprise data platforms and medallion architecture.Strategic leadership role with enterprise-wide responsibility for Teradata-driven data modelling and governance. .
