About the role
As a Senior Analyst at Lowes, you will be a part of the Stores Finance team, supporting store leaders by providing critical financial insights that drive operational excellence. You will partner closely with store finance and store operations managers to deliver clear visibility into expenses and budgets through intuitive dashboards and timely analytics. Your role will involve leveraging data, automation, and advanced reporting to empower stores to make informed decisions, manage expenses effectively, and stay aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities: - Reporting business intelligence and analysis of store performance for different stores functions. - Building tools that help simulate expense scenarios, decompose roots of expenses, and claw back margin. - Leading the transformation of recurring reporting and dashboards into fully automated, zero-manual-intervention systems. - Implementing AI tools to drive efficiency in reporting, analyses, and productivity. - Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely availability of financial reports across sales, margin, and expenses. - Developing and maintaining machine learning models to forecast sales and expenses with a focus on accuracy and business relevance. - Using predictive analytics to identify margin improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies. - Analyzing behavior patterns of customers to assign predictive risk and opportunity scores. - Owning and publishing financial performance reports at regular cadences as needed. - Translating complex data models, statistical analyses, and ML outputs into simple, actionable insights. - Building and presenting compelling narratives that influence decisions at the leadership and operational levels. Qualifications Required: - 4-8 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a retail or CPG context. - Demonstrated experience in automating financial reporting and building predictive models. - Strong technical foundation in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and one or more analytics languages (e.g., Python/R). - Attention to detail and passion for operational efficiency.
