About the role
You will be responsible for applying business requirements and utilizing your knowledge of software development lifecycles to design and produce complex software products or customer solutions aligned with the strategy of Group Technology. As a key member of the team, your role will involve leading project priorities, deadlines, and outcomes while leveraging your deep knowledge of site reliability, software engineering, programming languages, tooling, frameworks, infrastructure, and systems for each task. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the design of software components, systems, and features to enhance the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of LSEG's services - Leading sustainable incident response and production improvements for LSEG - Providing mentorship and advice to other team members on ensuring the availability and performance of critical services, building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and creating automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions - Mentoring and training other team members on design techniques, coding standards, and fostering innovation and collaboration - Writing and reviewing highly optimized and accurate code for LSEG products and solutions, as well as providing feedback and suggested improvements to team members - Partnering with architects to decompose solutions for technology systems and products - Continuously building and applying relevant domain knowledge related to workflows, data pipelines, business policies, configurations, and constraints - Supporting essential processes while maintaining high-quality standards Qualifications and experience required for this role include: - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent - Significant experience in software development in one or more programming languages Additionally, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider with a purpose of driving financial stability, empowering economies, and enabling sustainable growth.
