GCP Data Architecture

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Data Architect with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern data architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms, migrating BI and Big Data ecosystems to the cloud, and defining strategic data architecture solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and architect cloud-native data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Lead data platform modernisation and migration initiatives from on-premises BI/Data Warehouse and Big Data environments to GCP. Define data architecture, design principles, standards, and best practices across the organisation. Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions using GCP data services. Work closely with business, engineering, analytics, and data modelling teams to define data strategies and architecture roadmaps. Provide architectural guidance on tactical versus strategic technology decisions. Design and optimise data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption frameworks. Review architecture risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance, security, scalability, and compliance requirements. Support solution design for data warehouses, reporting platforms, and analytical workloads. Required Experience 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Cloud Data Platform roles. Strong experience designing and implementing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Experience migrating Data Warehouses, BI Platforms, and Big Data ecosystems to cloud environments. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies and enterprise data integration. Experience working with large-scale data platforms and modern analytics architectures. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
