As a Senior Java Application Engineer, your role will involve migrating legacy Java enterprise applications to modern Spring Boot-based architectures within banking environments. You will be responsible for application modernization, code refactoring, database interaction optimization, and ensuring regulatory security and performance compliance in large-scale banking transformation programs. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end Java application migration initiatives, including: - Migrating legacy Java monolith to Spring Boot - Transitioning J2EE older frameworks to microservices or modular architectures - Backend Development using Spring, Hibernate - Design and develop backend services utilizing Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate JPA for ORM, and persistence. - Optimize SQL queries and Hibernate mappings for enhanced performance and scalability. - Handle complex transactional workflows commonly found in banking systems. - Database Data Layer Migration. Mandatory Technical Skills: - Core Java Frameworks: Java 8/11/17 - Spring Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC - Hibernate JPA - RESTful APIs - Database: SQL with strong skills in PostgreSQL and SQL Server - Operating Systems: Linux or Windows Skills: - Mandatory Skills: Java, Java Spring Boot, JavaScript - Good to Have Skills: API/Microservices RestAssured Testing, Hibernate, Java Development, Java Microservices, Java Spring Cloud, JavaScript/jQuery, JPA, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL This role requires 3-8 years of experience in Java development within the Banking Financial Services domain. Your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SQL databases will be crucial for successfully migrating legacy applications and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
