Oracle DBA with Postgres

Key Responsibilities:

Provide L2L3 production support for Oracle databases in 247 environments. Manage and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures. Perform performance tuning SQL optimization and capacity planning. Handle incident problem and change management as per ITIL processes. Lead RCA investigations for major incidents and recurring performance issues. Support database upgrades patching and security remediation Work closely with application infrastructure and vendor teams

Mandatory Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle RAC ASM Extensive experience with Data Guard Physical Logical Active DG Proven expertise in Oracle GoldenGate Replication setup monitoring and troubleshooting Bidirectional Unidirectional replication Zero-near-zero downtime migrations Advanced Oracle performance tuning AWR ASH ADDM Backup and recovery using RMAN OS level troubleshooting on LinuxUnix

Desired Skills

Exposure to Oracle Enterprise Manager OEM Experience in cloud-based Oracle OCI AWS Azure Scripting skills Shell Python good to have Good to have experience on PostgreSql and MySql

Strong experience with PostgreSQL Streaming Replication Handson with Patroni PgPoolII or repmgr Experience with PostgreSQL clustering and failover automation Performance tuning query plans indexes vacuum strategy Backup recovery using pgBackRest Barman Linux administration basics

Desired Skills

PostgreSQL on cloud AWS RDSAurora Azure PostgreSQL Migration experience from Oracle SQL Server to PostgreSQL Automation using shell or Python scripts
