About the role
Job Title Release Engineer Location: Houston, TX Department Analytics Cloud Services Reports To Supervisor Analytics Cloud Services. Role Overview The Release Engineer is responsible for the deployment release and maintenance of cloudbased applications and services across platforms such as Azure and AWS . This role ensures smooth transitions of code from development to production maintaining system integrity security compliance and performance optimization . The engineer collaborates with crossfunctional teams including software developers systems architects infrastructure and security teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities CI/CD Pipeline Management Design implement and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines with security and quality gates. Optimize pipeline performance and automate repetitive tasks. Monitor pipeline health and proactively identify issues using observability tools. Cloud Infrastructure. Provision configure and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code IaC tools like Terraform. Implement bluegreen or canary deployments for critical applications. Ensure infrastructure consistency and prevent environment drift. Release Execution Governance. Lead and execute release engineering tasks for cloud services ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. Act as a gatekeeper in the infrastructure and application lifecycle ensuring code integrity and quality. Maintain release documentation and versioning practices. Collaboration Communication. Work closely with development QA and operations teams to ensure smooth releases. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding release status issues and improvements. Mentorship Strategic Leadership R3 Level. Mentor junior engineers and guide global cloud architecture initiatives. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance release processes. Qualifications Experience 2 years of cloud deployment experience. 2-5 years with autonomy in managing releases and optimizing pipelines. 5 years with leadership in release engineering and cloud infrastructure. Certifications Required AZ104 Azure Administrator Associate or AWS equivalent. Recommended AZ900 AZ204 HashiCorp Terraform Associate. Skills Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure CI/CD processesand Terraform. Proficiency in git workflows and programming concepts and Azure Visual Desktop. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Behavioral Expectations Shift from manual release coordination to automated auditable pipelines. Foster crossfunctional collaboration and proactive issue resolution. Embrace continuous learning and innovation in cloud technologies.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
