Role - SE_Data Engineer - Senior Professional 1
Senior Data Engineer owning and improving platform data models, ingestion pipelines, integrations, data quality controls, backend/cloud infrastructure, observability, and technical architecture support.
Assignment Overview:
The consultant will own and improve the platform’s data foundation, including data models, ingestion flows, integrations, and data quality. The role also includes contributing to backend and cloud infrastructure and ensuring reliable, scalable, and observable data and platform capabilities aligned with product and business priorities.
Responsibilities
Own and evolve the platform’s data model to support multiple sellers, markets, and integrations Design and maintain ingestion pipelines (imports, validation, transformation, retries, auditability) Establish reliable data pipelines, contracts, and quality controls for trusted business metrics Handle integrations and external data sources (DMS/ERP, Snowflake, CSV/FTP, etc.) Improve data quality, traceability, and observability across platform domains Contribute to backend and cloud infrastructure (AWS, databases, jobs, monitoring, scaling) Collaborate with Product Lead and Lead Developer on architecture and priorities Support engineering standards, CI/CD, and documentation Act as technical representative in data flows and integration discussions Education (Must Have/Nice To Have):
Must Have: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Nice To Have: Advanced degree in relevant field Experience (Must Have/Nice To Have):
Must Have: Senior experience in data engineering, backend, or platform engineering Strong experience with SQL, relational data modeling, and data pipelines Experience with APIs and cloud environments (preferably AWS) Nice To Have: Experience with PostgreSQL, Node.js/TypeScript, Python Experience with Snowflake and modern data stack Experience from marketplace platforms or multi-stakeholder systems Experience from startup, venture, or fast-moving product environments Language:
English + Swedish + Additional European languages seen as a merit
Personal / Soft Skills:
Structured and analytical with strong problem-solving ability Strong technical judgment and decision-making skills Comfortable with broad responsibilities and shifting priorities Pragmatic and delivery-oriented Strong collaboration and communication skills AI-native mindset (comfortable using and validating AI tools in development work) Other Specifications:
