About the role
As an experienced Hogan Core Banking Test Analyst, you will be joining a dynamic team to support a major Australian banking client. Your role will involve collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to define testing scope, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment across teams. You will design comprehensive test cases for System Testing (ST) and System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure full coverage of functional and technical requirements. Additionally, you will prepare and manage test data for end-to-end scenarios across core banking modules. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define testing scope and clarify requirements - Design comprehensive test cases for System Testing (ST) and System Integration Testing (SIT) - Prepare and manage test data for end-to-end scenarios across core banking modules - Execute manual progression and regression testing across mainframe and distributed environments - Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for timely resolution - Validate mainframe interactions with distributed systems including batch processes, DB2 queries, and JCL workflows - Prepare detailed test documentation including test plans, execution logs, defect reports, and status updates - Communicate testing progress, risks, and insights clearly to project managers and business stakeholders Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field - 5+ years of Core Banking Mainframe testing experience with hands-on exposure to Lending and other core banking modules - Expertise in Mainframe testing including JCL, DB2, batch processing, and online transactions - Knowledge of Core Banking applications across Loans, Deposits, CIS, or Umbrella - Proficiency in manual testing methodologies (ST, SIT) - Experience in test process management, governance, and quality standards - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in Mainframe environments - Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple projects - Understanding of the banking domain, especially lending - Highly disciplined, organized, and self-motivated No additional details about the company were provided in the job description.
