About the role
You are a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable RESTful services. Your key responsibilities include: - Designing and developing microservices-based systems using Java and Spring Boot - Implementing microservices on AWS platforms like EKS and Lambda - Developing event-driven architectures with Kafka, MQ, or EMS - Integrating and optimizing AWS services such as S3, SQS, SNS, Textract, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB - Building and supporting document processing pipelines with PDFs, images, and OCR workflows - Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Harness for secure, reliable, and automated deployments - Ensuring system reliability through observability, monitoring, and operational excellence practices - Collaborating with security and platform teams to address vulnerability remediation - Contributing to engineering standards, design reviews, and mentoring initiatives Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem - Proven experience with AWS cloud-native architectures like EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS - Deep understanding of microservices and distributed system design - Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or DocumentDB - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Harness - Strong grounding in system design, scalability, and performance engineering - Experience in working with large-scale production environments and real-world data systems - Familiarity with secure software development practices and vulnerability remediation workflows Nice to have skills include experience with AWS Textract or document AI/OCR-based systems, exposure to Kubernetes (EKS), proficiency in Python, familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, experience with performance and load testing frameworks such as k6 and JMeter, and a strong understanding of secure SDLC practices and enterprise security tooling.
