About the role
As a Senior Python Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Python applications and services. Your expertise will contribute to the architecture and implementation of scalable, cloud-based solutions, working in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quant/risk analysts, DevOps, and business stakeholders, to ensure the success of our projects. Additionally, you will apply analytical and statistical methods to solve complex business problems and adhere to best practices in software engineering, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications and services - Contribute to the architecture and implementation of scalable, cloud-based solutions - Work with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quant/risk analysts, DevOps, and business stakeholders - Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, code reviews, and production support - Apply analytical and statistical methods to solve complex business problems where required - Ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering, security, and performance Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of hands-on development experience with Python - Strong experience working in Linux environments - Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes - Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent) - Participation in at least one banking project, preferably within market risk or a related risk domain - Solid background in mathematics and/or statistics - Proven proficiency in programming analytics using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy (or equivalents) The company is looking for a Senior Python Developer with the ability to work effectively in cloud-native, containerized environments and with a strong preference for experience in market risk or related risk analytics areas.
