Senior QA Engineer

As an experienced QA/Quality Engineer with a focus on automation and enterprise-grade delivery, you should have 8+ years of experience in the field. Your skills in Web Automation should include advanced Selenium WebDriver proficiency, preferably using Java or Python. You should also possess solid test design patterns, expertise in cross-browser testing, and experience in parallelization. In the area of Mobile Automation, you are expected to have at least 3-4 years of experience using Appium. Your familiarity with DevOps/CI practices should include hands-on experience with GitLab, covering repositories, branching strategies, merge requests, pipelines, runners, quality gates, and test reporting. Your role will involve Test Management & Integration, where you need to be an expert in driving QA workflows within Jira. You should be adept at using Xray or Zephyr to design, execute, and track test cases, ensuring seamless traceability between requirements, tests, and defects. Demonstrable knowledge of UK products and regulations relevant to the UK domain is essential. This includes understanding areas such as financial services (FCA/PRA/PSD2/UK GDPR), public sector standards (assurance, accessibility), and healthcare requirements (data protection, auditability). Your expertise should also cover APIs & Data, with skills in API testing (REST/GraphQL), Oracle SQL proficiency for test data creation and validation, and environment configuration. In terms of Quality Practices, you should be well-versed in risk-based testing, RTM/traceability, defect lifecycle management, release readiness, and possess non-functional awareness (performance, security, accessibility). Soft skills are also crucial for this role, including clear communication, stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, and mentoring capability.
