About the role
We are looking for an Agentic Java Engineer (6+ Years) to design and build high-throughput distributed systems integrated with autonomous AI capabilities. You will bridge the gap between robust enterprise Java backend systems and up-to-date Agentic AI workflows, splitting your time between backend development and AI Responsibilities - Backend Development: Build high-performance, scalable microservices using Java 17/21+ and Spring Boot 3.x. - AI Agent Orchestration: Design autonomous AI agents, task decomposition workflows, and tool-use capabilities. - Data & Messaging: Implement asynchronous workflows using Kafka/RabbitMQ and work with SQL/NoSQL databases. - AI Pipelines: Build Java-based RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines and integrate with Vector Databases. - System Optimization: Ensure low-latency API layers, efficient memory management, and robust system security. Required Technical Skills - Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering with strong, continuous Java development. - Java & Spring: Deep knowledge of Core Java, multithreading, Spring Boot, and Spring Security. - Agentic AI Frameworks: Hands-on experience with LangChain4j, Semantic Kernel, or similar Java-AI frameworks. - LLM Integration: Experience connecting Java backends with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Llama). - Vector Databases: Working knowledge of pgvector, Pinecone, or Milvus. - Good to have -Cloud & DevOps: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/Azure/GCP.Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Immediate joiners Kolkata base location .
