Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP HR Consultant - Payroll Locations: Remote Position Summary Experience 10+ years of SAP ABAP development with 5+ years of SAP HCM Payroll experience Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP HR Consultant with Payroll expertise to design, develop, enhance, and support SAP HCM Payroll solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical ABAP skills combined with functional knowledge of SAP Payroll processes, including payroll schema, personnel administration, organizational management, time management integration, and payroll reporting. The consultant will work closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and integration teams to deliver scalable, high-quality HR and Payroll solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and support SAP HCM applications using ABAP Objects and SAP HR programming techniques. Develop custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, and conversions within SAP HCM. Develop Payroll-related custom programs for payroll processing, reconciliation, retroactive accounting, and payroll reporting. Enhance Payroll functionality using User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, and HR-specific enhancements. Develop custom Wage Type reports, payroll reconciliation reports, and statutory reporting solutions. Build and support interfaces between SAP Payroll and third-party applications such as tax, benefits, banking, finance, and time systems. Develop inbound and outbound interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, SOAP/REST APIs, Proxy, and middleware. Create Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, SAPScripts, and custom payroll forms. Develop HR Logical Databases (PNP, PNPCE), Infosets, Ad Hoc Queries, and ALV reports. Work extensively with HR Infotypes, Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Time Management (TM), and Payroll. Develop HR-specific enhancements using Infotype Framework and Dynamic Actions. Support Payroll schema and PCR technical enhancements in collaboration with functional consultants. Perform payroll data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting during payroll cycles. Optimize existing ABAP code for performance and compliance with SAP best practices. Support payroll production issues, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll processing. Collaborate with Finance, Benefits, Time Management, Security, and Basis teams for integrated HR solutions. Prepare technical design documents, unit test scripts, code reviews, and deployment documentation. Participate in SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, and S/4HANA migration initiatives.
