About the role
Lead senior and junior design engineers in developing robotic welding fixtures, positioners, and welding automation systems. Review and approve 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, GD&T applications, and design documentation. Validate engineering calculations related to fixture strength, positioner design, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical components. Ensure designs meet project requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, manufacturability, and cost targets. Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, manufacturing, assembly, purchase, and automation teams to ensure smooth project execution. Support design reviews, technical discussions, risk identification, and timely resolution of design-related issues. Ensure proper integration of mechanical, pneumatic, and automation elements in the overall solution. Monitor design progress and provide timely updates to stakeholders. Mentor and guide team members to improve technical capability, design quality, and execution efficiency.
