Data Engineer

A data engineer designs, builds, and maintains the infrastructure and systems for collecting, storing, processing, and transforming large volumes of raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts. Key responsibilities include developing ETL/ELT pipelines, managing databases and data warehouses/lakes, ensuring data quality and security, optimizing systems for scalability and performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet business needs. Overview of the Job Role & Responsibilities: Data Engineer ● Clearly establish the objectives and scope of the analysis. ● Gain an immersive understanding of the practices and processes used by a junior or associate data analyst in their day-to-day job. ● Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. ● Analysing the data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine. ● Using automated tools (Fivetran), Snowpipe & Python to extract data from primary and secondary sources ● Learn key analytical skills (data cleaning, analysis, & visualization) and tools (spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau). ● Understand how to clean and organize data for analysis, and complete analysis and calculations using spreadsheets, SQL and Tableau Reporting. ● Learn how to visualize and present data findings in dashboards, presentations and commonly used visualization platforms ● Assess data accurately and identify anomalies.
