Manual Quality Assurance Engineer

Job description About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Manual QA Engineer with 2 - 3 years of experience to join our QA team.The ideal candidate should be skilled in writing test scenarios , test cases , managing the defect life cycle , and conducting functional and UAT testing . A strong understanding of the product from a users perspective and the ability to work closely with developers and product teams is essential. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze system specifications and requirements Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test scenarios Execute manual test cases (functional, regression, exploratory) Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies Provide feedback on usability, functionality, and performance Requirements 2–3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, JIRA) ISTQB certification is a plus and demonstrates a strong foundation in software testing principles. Good analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and ability to think from the end-user’s perspective Experience with API testing using tools like Postman Basic understanding of SQL and databases Exposure to automation tools or an interest in transitioning to automation
