Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson

As a Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson at Mafna Air Technologies Inc., you will play a key role in our dynamic team by performing drafting and manufacturing tasks to enhance manufacturing efficiency. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various projects and work closely with the Engineering Team. Key Responsibilities: - Draft routine working sketches and layouts. - Calculate basic engineering aspects on routine drafting problems such as stress, sizing, and flexibility. - Determine material and equipment selection, create estimates and specifications. - Draft routine reports and correspondence. - Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts. - Create and revise CAD models, draw using computer hardware and software. - Develop 2D drawings from 3D models or parts in AutoCad following common drafting standards. - Update and revise 2D drawings based on changes required by Engineers and Designers. - Manage drawing system integrity in the product data management system. - Complete drawing projects in groups by documenting and organizing. - Support the Engineering Team. - Create manufacturing drawings from 3D SolidWorks models. - Manage drawing files, drawings, and quality standards. - Check drafts to ensure accuracy and completeness with department designers. Qualifications: - Previous experience in mechanical engineering or related fields. - Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics. - Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. - Ability to prioritize and multitask. - Knowledge of Draftsite / Autocad. - Knowledge of Solid Works. - Knowledge of other 3D Softwares. - Knowledge of sheet metal will be an asset.
