About the role
Summary A highly experienced (12+ years of experience) SAP Solution Architect with deep technical expertise, strong integration skills, and a robust understanding of core and industry-specific business processes. Able to design scalable, secure, and future-proof SAP architectures in hybrid and cloud-native landscapes (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP BTP). Acts as a key link between business and IT, driving innovation and sustainable solutions. Technical Expertise S/4HANA Architecture: Comprehensive knowledge of S/4HANA (on-premise & cloud), extensibility (in-app, side-by-side), and data modeling. SAP BTP: Experience in developing and architecting on SAP BTP using CAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP Build, and Kyma. Integration Architecture: SAP Integration Suite, API Management, OData, REST/SOAP, IDocs, RFC, PI/PO. SAP HANA Expertise: Strong understanding of HANA data modeling, CDS views, and performance optimization. Security & Compliance: Design of SAP authorization concepts, SSO, Identity Provisioning, GDPR-compliance considerations. Methodological & Architectural Skills Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: Familiar with TOGAF, ArchiMate, SAP Enterprise Architecture Methodology. Project Methodologies: SAP Activate, Agile (Scrum/SAFe), Waterfall. Solution Design & Evaluation: Fit-gap analysis, system blueprinting, cost-efficient prototyping. Data Migration & Landscape Transformation: LTMC, LSMW, Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services. Documentation & Modeling: SAP Signavio, Lucidchart, ArchiMate. Business Process Competence Cross-functional Process Understanding: Finance (FI/CO), Sales (SD), Logistics (MM/PP), Manufacturing. Process Optimization: Aligning IT architecture with business KPIs. Industry-specific know-how: Regulatory and vertical-specific knowledge. Digitalization Strategy: Supporting innovation through SAP technologies. Communication & Leadership Skills Stakeholder Communication: Bridging technical and non-technical audiences. Cross-functional Collaboration: Leading workshops and teams. Vendor & Partner Coordination: Managing SAP and external partners. Mentoring & Coaching: Supporting junior architects and teams.
