Role Overview: You will be responsible for new product design and development from the initial stage to the production stage. Your role will involve benchmarking the product, testing and recording performance of components, products, and manufacturing methods. You will analyze and resolve technical issues associated with components, products, manufacturing methods, and performance. Additionally, you will be preparing bill of materials (BOM), design specifications, raw materials specifications, etc. You will conduct failure mode and risk analysis according to ISO 13485 standards. Your responsibilities will also include product design verification and validation, ensuring manufacturing performance and quality goals are met, preparing and reviewing documentation history files (DHF), maintaining and improving existing product manufacturing processes, anticipating manufacturing needs for new products and fixtures, and being involved in assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and repair activities of products. Furthermore, you will provide instruction and support to manufacturing and QA on manufacturing techniques, procedures, and QC inspections, identify replacement components for reasons of obsolescence or cost reduction, identify and contact vendors, compare technical specifications, compile and prepare required documentation, assure timely manufacturing, packaging, and delivery of new products, source and implement improvements in manufacturing procedures, coordinate relationships with vendors and contractors, and drive on-going process improvement projects.
