Engineering Manager - Technology

As an experienced Backend Java developer with 8-10 years of experience, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Involvement in the full software development life cycle within broadly defined parameters and providing software solutions while considering the software quality needs. - Designing and defining the interaction between different component pieces. - Writing efficient code based on the brief given by the team lead. - Fast prototyping of proof-of-concept features or applications based on briefs. - Developing and maintaining new features on the Java stack. - Owning the delivery of an entire piece of a system or application. - Managing and executing against project plans and delivery commitments. - Working closely with peers and Leads to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development. - Building software solutions for complex problems. - Ensuring compliance with build/release and configuration management processes. - Taking responsibility for developing unit test cases for your project module. - Executing appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies, and processes for development activities in coordination with business and project management efforts. Desired Profile: - Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Concepts and hands-on knowledge of the Java stack (Spring/Hibernate). - Experience in development across multiple browsers/platforms on websites. - Understanding of SQL/NoSQL data stores and responsive high-level designs. - Experience working in a product/start-up company is a plus. - Familiarity with MVC, SOA, and RESTful web services. - Ability to work with other teams, manage time across multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven, team environment. - Knowledge of Javascript (AngularJS/ReactJS), HTML, CSS, and jQuery front-end code. - Understanding of agile methodology and ability to instill best practices into the process. - Team managerial experience is required. Educational Qualifications: - Relevant experience in software development. - B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./M.S. in Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields from a premier institute.
