Role Description The Unit Head IT at Manipal Hospitals Raipur is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for managing the hospitals overall information technology function. This role oversees daily IT operations, including infrastructure management, system availability, data security, and user support for clinical and administrative applications. The Unit Head IT collaborates with hospital leadership to align IT strategy with business and clinical objectives, ensuring systems support patient care, compliance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include planning and implementing IT projects, vendor and service provider management, monitoring performance and uptime, and enforcing IT policies and standards. The role also involves leading and mentoring the local IT team, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives within the Raipur unit. Qualifications Strong foundation in core Information Technology concepts and enterprise healthcare IT environments. Demonstrated experience in IT Management and IT Operations, including team leadership and service delivery. Proven ability to develop and execute IT Strategy aligned with organizational and clinical goals. Hands-on expertise in IT Infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, security, and end-user systems. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CCNA) are an advantage. Experience in hospital or healthcare IT, including exposure to HIS, EMR/EHR, PACS, and compliance standards, is highly beneficial. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident management skills, with the ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure. Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clinical, administrative, and corporate teams. Proven track record in managing IT budgets, vendors, and service contracts, and driving process and technology improvements.
