About the role
As an SAP ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing and verifying business and technical requirements. You will design, develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP solutions to provide technical and functional support for SAP projects. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing impact analysis for system changes and enhancements - Handling incident resolution and service requests efficiently - Developing interfaces using Web Services, Proxies, ALE, and IDOCs - Creating development estimates and technical documentation - Ensuring adherence to SAP development standards and best practices - Reviewing and managing code quality of offshore ABAP team members - Collaborating with cross-functional and global teams for smooth delivery In order to be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications: - Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development - Strong expertise in BADI, BAPI, RFC, User Exits, and enhancements - Experience in ALE/IDOC development (5+ years preferred) - Good knowledge of SAP FI module and related data structures - Proficiency in SAP tools such as SMOD, CMOD, ST22, SAT - Strong debugging and performance optimization skills - Experience with Reports (ALV), Dialog Programming, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms - Exposure to SAP S/4HANA is an added advantage - Ability to follow documentation and coding standards strictly - Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
