Lead Backend Engineer - Java

Experience : 8+ Years.Location : Remote.Shift : UK/ IST.Mandatory Skills : IBM Sterling OMS, Java, Microservices, Kubernates, Cloud Native (AWS).Role Overview : Lead and deliver enterprise OMS solutions with a strong focus on Sterling OMS and Java-based microservices, while shaping and contextualizing AI use cases within the OMS and commerce architecture. Lead development of Java microservices enabling OMS integrations and extensions.- Identify, evaluate, and position AI/ML use cases within OMS flows.- Collaborate with product, platform, DevOps, and integration teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.- Ensure code quality, testing rigor, and production readiness of delivered solutions.Required Qualifications : - 8+ years of backend engineering experience.- Deep, hands-on expertise with Sterling OMS including configuration, extensions, APIs, user exits, and order flows.- Strong experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.- Strong development experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST and Java open-source technologies.- Proven experience with Confluent Kafka and event-driven architectures.- Experience building and maintaining AWS-based integrations (S3, API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, EKS).- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native application principles.- Ability to understand, contextualize, and articulate AI-driven use cases within OMS and enterprise platforms.- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
