Senior Java Software Engineer

As a Senior Applications Developer at Marsh, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining web applications to enhance client services and internal operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and improve user experience. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain web applications that enhance client services and internal operations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. - Work on the Icat Online ecosystem based on Spring, Hibernate, and traditional server-rendered front end. - Design, expose, and consume APIs for internal and third-party services. - Perform UI work including workflow design and modifying database schemas. - Assist with reporting and analytics design and implementation. - Participate in peer code reviews and escalate problems as appropriate. - Troubleshoot and debug software modules, deploy using CICD, and meet project plan goals. - Develop reusable software components and application code to support business requirements. - Conduct unit and integration testing using common Java testing tools. - Troubleshoot and debug medium to large application stacks independently. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 4-7 years of industry experience OR 7-9 years of industry experience without a 4-year degree. - Experience in Full Stack Java development with Spring application Stack. - Proficiency in Maven, Hibernate, and Python. - Understanding of basic Linux commands and ACID compliant databases. - Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Familiarity with unit and integration testing tools like Junit, Mockito, TestNG. - Working knowledge of web UI technologies including in-browser JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
