AT_110- Application Engineer CATIA V5

Job Description We are looking for an experienced Application Engineer with strong CATIA V5 expertise to support product design, development, and validation activities in the automotive domain. The candidate will work closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and customer teams to deliver robust engineering solutions and ensure product performance and manufacturability. Key Responsibilities Translate customer requirements into engineering design solutions. Conduct DFMEA to identify potential design risks and implement corrective actions. Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure proper fit, form, and function. Apply GD&T principles for engineering drawings and dimensional control. Support prototype development, design reviews, and validation activities. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve design and process-related issues. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, and technical reports. Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. 5–8 years of experience in Design or Application Engineering within the automotive industry. Required Skills Proficiency in CATIA V5 (Part Modeling, GSD, Assembly, and Drafting). Strong knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis. Good understanding of mechanical design principles. Knowledge of DFM/DFA and design optimization techniques. Manufacturing knowledge of Plastic and Sheet Metal components. Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product validation methods. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills Experience in the design and development of safety-critical automotive components such as Steering Wheels, Airbags, and related systems. Basic understanding of Simulation or CAE tools. Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and quality. Good interpersonal and presentation skills. Proactive approach to problem-solving and technical issue resolution.
