Senior Design Engineer Material Handling Systems Location: Pune, Maharashtra Experience: 510 Years Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer Material Handling Systems to join our Design & Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing material handling equipment, conveyor systems, and industrial automation solutions integrated with heavy industrial machinery. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop complete Material Handling Systems for industrial applications. - Design conveyor systems, loading & unloading systems, transfer systems, lifting mechanisms, and customized material handling solutions. - Prepare 2D/3D models, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). - Perform engineering calculations and optimize machine designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. - Coordinate with Sales, Production, Electrical & Controls, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure successful project execution. - Support manufacturing, assembly, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. - Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, ERP data, and drawing revisions. - Ensure timely project execution while maintaining quality and engineering standards. Required Skills & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. - 510 years of experience in designing Material Handling Systems, Conveyor Systems, Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), or Heavy Industrial Machinery. - Strong knowledge of conveyors, transfer systems, lifting equipment, structural design, and industrial automation. - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Edge/SolidWorks. - Good understanding of fabrication, machining, welding practices, and manufacturing processes. - Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems will be an added advantage. - Experience in engineering calculations, machine layouts, BOM preparation, and ERP systems. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
