Role Overview: As a Process Monitoring & Optimization Engineer, you will apply process engineering principles to support process design, optimization, and operational improvement projects. Your role will involve developing, validating, and maintaining process simulation models for evaluating operating scenarios and process performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, line sizing, and capacity assessments for process systems. Your expertise will contribute to feasibility studies, debottlenecking analyses, and process revamp evaluations for existing facilities. Monitoring process performance, product quality, and operational trends to identify optimization opportunities will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will also support process monitoring, reliability improvement, and integrity operating window (IOW) management. Key Responsibilities: - Apply process engineering principles to support process design, optimization, and operational improvement projects. - Develop, validate, and maintain process simulation models for evaluating operating scenarios and process performance. - Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, line sizing, and capacity assessments for process systems. - Conduct feasibility studies, debottlenecking analyses, and process revamp evaluations for existing facilities. - Monitor process performance, product quality, and operational trends to identify optimization opportunities. - Support process monitoring, reliability improvement, and integrity operating window (IOW) management. - Develop and maintain process monitoring tools and data-driven performance improvement solutions. - Review process designs to enhance safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability. - Provide technical support for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process investigations. - Participate in HAZOP, PHA, and process safety reviews to ensure safe and compliant operations. - Prepare process improvement recommendations and support project execution activities. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Project Engineering. Qualification Required: - Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. - Strong knowledge of process engineering, process design, and refinery or chemical plant operations. - Experience with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS or Pro II. - Understanding of hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing, and process optimization techniques. - Knowledge of process safety methodologies including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, and Root Cause Analysis. - Familiarity with process monitoring and analytics tools such as PI, SEEQ, or similar platforms. - Understanding of ASME, API, and other relevant engineering codes and standards. - Experience in debottlenecking, revamp studies, and process performance improvement initiatives. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Excellent communication, technical reporting, and presentation skills.
