About the role
As a Lead, Platform Engineering at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in designing, architecting, implementing, securing, and supporting large multi-site, multi-vendor MPLS network communication environments. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing network projects effectively. - Developing detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and MasterCard networks, as well as re-architecting network segments to accommodate new requirements, technologies, and growth. - Resolving network communications and operations problems that impact customer or backbone access and performance globally. - Participating in telecommunications-related initiatives and researching innovative solutions for unified network solutions. - Supporting regional projects by planning, controlling time and cost, utilizing resources efficiently, and implementing solutions. - Managing vendors and providing strategic technical direction on highly complex network systems projects or activities. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Formal business or management training, including Project Management, Strategic Planning, some finance experience, and related curriculum. All About You: - You should have five to eight years of overall IT experience, focusing on Networking, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, Security, and encryption technologies. - Experience with TCP/IP protocol communications and knowledge of Ciscos product portfolio. - Advanced knowledge of Project Management methodology and best practices. - Proficiency in Network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies. - Strong verbal and written communications skills. - Self-starter with demonstrated listening skills. Additionally, as part of your corporate security responsibility at Mastercard, it is expected that you: - Abide by Mastercards security policies and practices. - Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed. - Report any suspected information security violation or breach. - Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercards guidelines.
