Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack

As a Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in driving the customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include: - Working as a technical lead to deliver end-to-end product development. - Engaging in Full Stack Development using Microservices, Messaging/Event Driven Frameworks, CI/CD on a Cloud Native environment. - Ensuring benchmarks are met on quality, performance, info security and other NFRs. - Guiding and mentoring teams effectively as per needs and training developers on the required technologies. - Communicating effectively and coordinating with various global groups in MasterCard to ensure project success. - Leading initiatives for improving automation, defect metrics, and overall quality. Conducting various Proofs-of-concept as per technological and business needs. - Taking responsibility for deciding the relevant tools, technologies, and patterns that need to be implemented for the service. Qualifications required for this role include: - 10 - 15 years of experienced hands-on technologist with strong Object-Oriented Design and clean programming skills using the Java language and the SOLID design principles. - Passion for emerging technologies and trends, especially microservices, event-driven architecture, and modern caching/persistence mechanisms. - Strong experience in Product Development, Spring Boot framework, and Cloud technology in an Agile (SAFe) Development Environment. - Ability to analyze, conceptualize, and create cutting-edge technical solutions based on business needs. - Extensive experience in the development of online, real-time application features. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills involving various teams. Preferred Knowledge/Experience includes: - Java [J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA] - Web [Angular, React, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, HTML] - Excellent understanding of distributed cache and messaging system - Database [Postgres] well-versed in writing efficient and optimized SQL queries - Expert in full stack development. - Experience working in an Agile environment - Experience in implementing APIs - Discipline of working in continuous integration. - Experienced in delivering commercial-grade software - Proactive in creating a better user experience, consumer value proposition - Understanding gaps in knowledge and ability to source training online Your skills/abilities should include: - High energy, can-do attitude, strong desire to succeed - Strong Analytical and skills - Strong communication skills As a part of your Corporate Security Responsibility, you will be expected to: - Abide by Mastercards security policies and practices. - Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed; - Report any suspected information security violation or breach. - Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercards guidelines.
