Manager, Data Engineering

Role Overview: As a Manager of Data Engineering at Mastercard, you will be part of the GBSC Analytics & Automation team, enabling data-driven decision-making through scalable data platforms, automation, and analytics capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design and delivery of robust data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases. Key Responsibilities: - Lead multiple analytics projects and initiatives within GBSC and Mastercard - Lead the design and development of scalable data pipelines and platforms - Manage and mentor a team of data engineers - Partner with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into solutions - Drive best practices in data quality, governance, and security - Oversee end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects - Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Governance and AI/ML - Ensure operational stability through monitoring and continuous improvement Qualifications Required: - Experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT pipelines - Strong SQL and Python skills - Experience with data platforms (e.g., Databricks) - Understanding of data architecture (Lakehouse, Warehousing) - Strong stakeholder and team management skills - Experience working with large datasets and enterprise systems Additional Company Details: Mastercard expects every individual working for or on behalf of the organization to be responsible for information security.
