About the role
Role Overview: As a Senior FullStack Engineer at Mastercard, you will have the opportunity to design, build, and deliver cuttingedge Open Finance solutions that will contribute to the next generation of payment and data products. Your role will involve working across the entire technology stack, from backend services in Java to frontend experiences in React. Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and architects, you will play a key role in bringing innovative ideas to life, ensuring secure, scalable, and accessible software aligned with Mastercard's highest standards. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, design, and develop fullstack solutions in accordance with Mastercard's engineering standards and best practices. - Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive and accessible user interfaces using React. - Ensure frontend applications meet WCAG accessibility guidelines, deliver exceptional performance, and are optimized for various devices. - Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs within Mastercard's Open Finance ecosystem using Java. - Uphold high code quality through unit/integration testing, peer reviews, and CI/CD pipelines. - Contribute across the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to release and ongoing support. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure service resilience and performance. - Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize features, communicate progress, and manage technical tradeoffs. - Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in frontend and backend engineering. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of software engineering experience encompassing backend and frontend development. - Handson experience with TypeScript, React, and Node. - Proficiency in Java is also necessary. - Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards. - Demonstrated experience working closely with designers and product teams to deliver usercentric products. - Solid background in building RESTful APIs, microservices, and working in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Knowledge of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills to bridge technical and business needs effectively. - Proactive, detailoriented, accountable, and comfortable working independently in a fastpaced environment. - Bonus: Experience in Open Finance, payments, or regulated financial services.
