Sr Tester/Data Engineer

As a Sr Tester/Data Engineer in the AI Innovation at Scale team at Mastercard, your role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products by assessing requirements, identifying issues, and implementing effective testing strategies. You will play a key role in improving quality management and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Review and provide feedback on requirements and technical documentation. - Plan, design, and implement comprehensive test strategies and test cases. - Execute white-box and black-box testing to identify product deficiencies. - Collaborate closely with team members to resolve issues and improve quality. - Monitor QA processes and identify bottlenecks for improvement. - Investigate quality issues and propose actionable solutions. - Collect and analyze data to support quality improvements. - Prepare quality reports for the team. - Participate in requirement analysis and engineering solution discussions. Qualifications Required: - Be curious, meticulous, and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies. - Possess strong technical skills relevant to QA work. - Demonstrate critical and creative thinking in problem-solving. - Have excellent time management and organizational skills. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders. - Desirable capabilities include experience in software development and software QA, proficiency in QA methodologies, processes, and tools, ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases, familiarity with appropriate testing tools and frameworks, various environments such as Hadoop, CDP, PCF, and Databricks, basic knowledge of data science and Generative AI concepts, proficiency with Unix/Linux commands, working knowledge of Python and Java applications, use of Impala and Spark for data queries and validation, and monitoring Spark job execution, performing initial analysis, and collecting logs.
