About the role
About the job: Key Responsibilities: 1. Build and maintain RESTful API endpoints in FastAPI (Python) for student onboarding, practice sessions, and score tracking; write clean, well-documented code with proper error handling, logging, and authentication flows. 2. Design and maintain Supabase (PostgreSQL) schemas for student profiles, test responses, and cohort data; write and optimize SQL queries, manage migrations, and ensure data integrity with row-level security. 3. Integrate Anthropic API for AI-powered assessment features; implement and refine mobile-responsive frontend screens (HTML/CSS/JS or React) to match design mockups and ensure clean API-to-UI data flows. 4. Write unit and integration tests for critical endpoints and AI evaluation logic; conduct manual QA, document and resolve bugs, and support beta testing with a live student cohort. 5. Manage deployment on Railway/Render, monitor API performance and error rates, and set up CI/CD basics using GitHub Actions. Maintain a living technical spec, README, and onboarding documentation. Prior experience with Celery/Redis, Google Vision OCR, WhatsApp Business API, or any prior ed-tech product build.
