Assistant Manager R&D (PC)

Role: Assistant Manager RD- PC Seniority Level: Mid-level Preferred Education: B. Sc. / M. Sc. - Organic Chemistry Required Experience: Minimum 5 years in the chemical industry Key Responsibilities: - Conduct RD on Ethylene Oxide (EO) and Propylene Oxide (PO) reactions, including new product development and process optimization - Plan, execute, and monitor experiments at lab, kilo-lab, and pilot-plant scale - Prepare and maintain all RD documentation, including experimental records, scale-up reports, SOPs, and technology transfer documents - Support commercialization activities by coordinating with production, QC, and process engineering teams Must-Have Skills/Technologies: - Strong technical expertise in Organic Chemistry - Experience with EO/PO reactions - Ability to develop, characterize, and scale up EO/PO derivatives - Knowledge of experiment planning, execution, and monitoring - Familiarity with RD documentation, including experimental records and technology transfer documents - Understanding of safety guidelines and HSE requirements for handling EO/PO and hazardous chemicals - Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and propose technical solutions Good-to-Have Skills/Technologies: - Hands-on experience with EO/PO-based derivatives such as phosphates, sulphates, ethoxylates, propoxylates, etc - Proficiency in quality systems, ISO documentation, and regulatory compliance - Experience working with cross-functional teams for scale-up and commercialization - Knowledge of safety protocols related to handling EO/PO and hazardous materials - Familiarity with project management tools and software Must-Have Soft Skills: - Strong project management skills - Ability to lead a team effectively - Effective communication and coordination skills - Ability to work under pressure and manage tight timelines Good-to-Have Soft Skills: - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams - Strong time management and organizational skills Disclaimer : This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
