Head of Information Technology Operations

As an IT Operations Head at Matrimony.com Ltd, you will be responsible for owning the company's end-to-end IT operations, including employee systems, IT assets, security practices, procurement, vendor negotiations, infrastructure, telephony, and budgeting. Your role will require technical expertise combined with strong negotiation skills to control IT costs effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Systems & IT Asset Management: - Procure, configure, deploy, maintain, and retire employee systems. - Forecast headcount and procure systems in advance for seamless provisioning. - Maintain an accurate IT asset register and standardize system configurations. - IT Security Administration: - Define and enforce security practices like VPN connectivity, DLP, email security. - Drive security hygiene across all employee systems and respond to security incidents. - IT Procurement, Licensing & Vendor Negotiation: - Procure hardware, software licenses, and SaaS subscriptions. - Lead commercial negotiations with vendors to secure the best pricing and terms. - IT Budgeting & Cost Control: - Prepare, present, and own the annual IT operations budget. - Track actuals vs. budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and deliver measurable results. - In-House Infrastructure & Telephony: - Manage in-house infrastructure including servers and telephony operations. - Lead the migration to a cloud telephony platform and optimize costs. - Collaboration with Platform Engineering: - Work closely with the Platform Engineering team to meet engineering needs efficiently.
