About the role
As an Embedded Software Developer at Matrix ComSec, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing Embedded Linux-based real-time software applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Hands-on experience in C/C++, with a strong exposure to C Programming concepts and Embedded C. - Proficiency in Linux and command over Linux OS. - Good understanding of IPC (Inter-Process Communication) with multi-threading and socket programming. - Working knowledge of networking protocols such as Socket Programming, RTSP, TCP/IP, and ONVIF. - Experience or knowledge of Microprocessors like Arm 7/9, Cortex A8/A15, Qualcomm, Intel, IMX, NXP would be advantageous. - Exposure to device drivers, kernel programming, and hardware peripherals is a plus. - Strong logical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas effectively. - Individual contributor role responsible for software development as per design. Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have skills in camera image tuning, RTSP protocol, ONVIF protocol, audio codec, video codec, Gstreamer/streaming, and video parsers for H.264, H.265, HTML, and Javascript. Your typical day may involve: - Collaborating with development teams and product managers to brainstorm solutions. - Working with analysts and developers to create software designs. - Developing program specifications and prototypes. - Translating software designs into functional code. - Integrating software solutions into higher-level systems. - Validating design decisions to prevent technical debt or project delays. - Focusing on operational excellence to enhance development velocity and meet project deadlines effectively.
