Principal Engineer - 4G-5G Stack L1 & Radio

4G/5G Stack-L1 & Radio Skills: • Wireless Standard Experience as 4G 5G Skillset & Expertise Level: • Strong expertise in LTE/NR PHY Layer, DSP, RF, Antennas • Expertise in modulation, coding (FEC, Low-Density Parity-Check/ LDPC, Turbo decoding), MIMO, beamforming, Complex I/Q sample processing, FFT / IFFT, Channel estimation & equalization, Modulation / demodulation • Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, real-time embedded systems, FPGA/ASIC/GPU/ based programming • Experience with fronthaul (CPRI/eCPRI) and L1 acceleration • 12 years PHY/RF software development experience • Additional years of driving delivery of 4G/5G L1 programs Roles & Responsibilities: • Design and implement LTE/NR PHY algorithms and procedures • Review and Mentor high performance L1 teams towards delivery excellence in the following: o Optimize L1 for latency, throughput, and CPU/DSP/GPU/FPGA utilization o Interface with Radio/RF, L2, and fronthaul subsystems o Debug PHY issues using logs, IQ capture, and lab equipment • Ability to drive large scale 4G/5G L1 product development, sustenance and customer support programs involving multiple variants of eNodeBs/gNodeBs in various forms including vRAN/ORAN/custom • Ability to communicate with senior levels of internal and external stakeholders
