Independent Consultant Pulp and Paper Manufacturing

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Duration: 3 to 4 months Travel Requirements: 4-5 visits per month (travel and accommodation provided) Key Responsibilities: Assess the existing paper machine and production processes. Devise and implement strategies to improve machine speed by at least 15%. Ensure that the proposed machine speed increase does not affect the quality of the finished paper. Provide technical support to the manufacturing team to ensure smooth execution of improvements. Recommend any additional equipment, technology, or process modifications that could aid in achieving production targets. Collaborate with the team on-site to troubleshoot issues and identify areas for improvement. Conduct regular site visits (4-5 times a month) to assess progress and provide hands-on consultation. Provide detailed reports and recommendations after each site visit. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a consultant or technical expert in pulp and paper manufacturing. Expertise in paper machine optimization, production processes, and quality control. Strong understanding of manufacturing machinery, their maintenance, and speed optimization. Ability to implement changes without sacrificing product quality. Experience in troubleshooting production challenges and offering solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams. Preferred: Knowledge of process automation in pulp and paper manufacturing. Experience with technology upgrades and paper machine enhancements. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
