Network and Security Specialist

Areas of Work: Lead- IT Network & security administration At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices such as Core & Spine switch, routers, VPN gateways, in Onprem and Cloud deployment such as Azure, OCI and IBM (knowledge on products such as cisco hardware) Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of enterprise network services, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPN, and network access control Hands on technical Proficiency in designing, architecting and administering Network & Security Solutions and managing network hardware such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, and load balancers 7+ Years of hand on experience deploying, configuring and managing security devices such as firewalls in On prem and cloud deployments such as Azure, OCI and IBM (Knowledge on products such as Cisco devices, Extreme Cloud APs, HPE Aruba-SDWAN, Palo Alto firewalls, ) 10+ years of experience in administrating, set up , configuring and troubleshooting security devices such as IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Proxy devices ( working knowledge on products such as F5 Load balancers, Cisco IPS/IDS, Palo alto firewalls) Experience in design, setup, configuration and daily administration of above technologies Ability to triage, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues/incidents Ability to define technology roadmap, maintain technical debt of Network & security devices by regularly upgrading the components based on OEM recommendations Vulnerability management for Network & Security devices Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, STP, VLANs) Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are preferred Familiarity with any one of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, IBM) Strong understanding of ITIL processes Strong Exposure to automation & scripting Experience of IT operations in a multinational company Intercultural competence, team spirit, communication and cooperation ability, high degree of independence Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) , Problem solving and Stakeholder management skills Ability to work under pressure and lead network & security engineers from own teams and identified service providers End to end ownership & accountability for Operations, Projects within Network and Security domain. Expert knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, VPN, QoS, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM . Strong experience managing enterprise network security solutions including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), IDS/IPS, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Network Access Control (NAC), Secure Web Gateways (SWG), and VPN technologies . Hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, Check Point, or equivalent . Experience with wireless networking , network segmentation, Zero Trust architecture, and secure remote access. Strong understanding of network monitoring, performance analysis, packet capture, and troubleshooting using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Cisco DNA Center, or equivalent. Experience supporting cloud networking in Azure, OCI, IBM Clouds, including hybrid connectivity and cloud security controls. Knowledge of network automation using scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, REST APIs) is an advantage.
